We depend on your support. Media change will never be funded by the powers that be. It’s not in their interests. But working together, it can and will continue to happen.

 

 

Thank you for your interest in Media Alliance, one of the country’s longest-running media democracy organizations. We are funded largely by membership fees and your donations. By joining Media Alliance, you support our work for a more accountable and just media system.

Membership and service options include:

Low-Income  / Contributing Membership:  Basic $35

  • Right to vote for Board of Directors
  • Free subscription to the Media News e-Newsletter
  • Free subscription to the Jobfile Bulletin
  • Member discounts for workshops, classes, conferences or events – when available
  • Supporting communications rights advocacy to protect our right to communicate

 Contributing Membership:  Standard $60

  • Right to vote for Board of Directors
  • Free subscription to the Media News e-Newsletter
  • Member discounts for workshops, classes, conferences or events
  • 52 week subscription to the Jobfile Bulletin (if desired)
  • Your 2017 Gifts:
  • The Brainwashing of My Dad – a 90 minute documetary film by Jen Senko about her Dad’s late-life immersion into right-wing talk radio
  • OR
  • Artists for Vieques – a 20-song album featuring US, Puerto Rican and Navajo musical artists: with Los Lonely Boys, Willie Nelson, Calle 13, Zoraida Santiago, Rei Ortiz, Los Bandidos Cosmicos and more. $10 of your contribution goes to Puerto Rican hurricane relief.

Group membership rates are sliding scale based on the annual budget

 $250,001 – $450,000  $150
 $450,001 – $999,00  $175
 $1,000,000+  $250

 

As a Media Alliance nonprofit member, your staff receives discounts on:

  •  All media skill-building classes
  •  Media advocacy/press relations workshops customized to your needs
  • Free or discounted admission to MA events, films and forums
  • Free Northern California Press Lists
